Facebook has announced they are providing Grants to small businesses that have been affected by COVID-19. Facebook is giving $100 million dollars of grants to 30,000 small businesses that have been affected by COVID-19. These grants are only available to select locations where Facebook operates. As you can imagine, timing is essential. With limited funds available, you’ll want to apply immediately.
Additionally, once your location has become available for applications, you have two weeks to apply before the application deadline.

Below are the steps to take in order to apply for Facebook’s Small Business Grant
You have two weeks to apply for a grant with Facebook. Check available locations, if available apply now. If not, enter your email address and get notified when you’re allowed to.

Facebook wants to know how these funds will directly help your community? What impact they’ll have on your business? Explaining how you will use these funds may be the most important process. With limited grant funds, Facebook wants to know that the money they are putting in place will help businesses, employee’s and the community.
Facebook states this process should take a few weeks. As you can imagine there will be many applications, there will be a follow up process with additional questions after they review your application. They’ll announce the grant recipients after the review process.

Facebook provided this grant program to help small businesses that were impacted by COVID-19. Like many tech companies, Facebook understands small businesses are essential and doing this will help the grant recipients with keeping your workforce going strong, it will help with rent or mortgages, it will cover operational costs and allow you to connect with more customers, clients and/or patients.
Additionally this is an opportunity for Facebook to engage with new potential advertisers that haven’t used Facebook. The Facebook Small Business Grant consists of cash and ad credits ($2,500 cash & $1,500 Facebook Ad Credits). The cash can be used as needed to help with payroll and/or operational costs. The Ad Grants are to be used with Facebook’s Ads Manager. Offering you a way to advertise your business to existing and new customers, clients or patients.
